About Me

I offer Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy and I work under the direct supervision of Carrie Michael, LMFT. I received my Masters in Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2015, which prepared me for licensure in both Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and Certified Professional Counseling (CPC).

I have an inclusive approach and work through a trauma and depth informed, relational/family systems perspective. I draw upon many approaches, including Family Systems and Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Psychodynamic and Jungian Depth perspectives, and Yoga Psychology.

I have worked in both community mental health and closely with psychiatrists. I have gained experience working with anxiety and depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, chronic pain and illness, insomnia, life transitions, grief, many types of trauma and PTSD, addiction, interpersonal difficulties in relationships, cutting and emotional dysregulation in adolescents, family therapy, domestic violence, psychosis, and more. I enjoy working directly with parents to provide parent education, and working with children using play and art therapy.

My goal is to help you connect to a deeper sense of self and find a more foundational and longer lasting sense of wellness. This might look like exploring your relationship with yourself and others, working to identify your own feelings and what to do with them, working somatically with mindfulness and embodiment practices for greater presence, awareness, or self-regulation, using more expressive means of connection to self, (through imagination, art, cultural literature and myth, music, play, movement, and dream work), or by seeking wholeness through the awareness and acceptance of the many parts of the self.
